This is pure indulgence and you'll feel like royalty while sleeping on your boat. Yacht bedding made from linen is being rediscovered for its luxury and comfort. Beyond just beauty, linen has shown to promote restful sleep by insulating against heat and cold, providing breath-ability and absorption, and possessing anti-allergenic properties. It has also been scientifically proven that linen sheets help people get to sleep faster and result in a deeper and more refreshing night's sleep. The natural quality and characteristics of linen make it a superior choice for the bed on your boat. Linen fabric, which is produced from the Flax plant, also has some inherent ecological characteristics: all parts of the plant are used (there is no waste) and are 100% biodegradable or recyclable.
While conducting our research into adding linen to our boat bedding collection we decided to partner with the preeminent fabric mill in Belgium. In 2006 the mill was granted a Royal Warrant by the Belgian Royal Family due to their commitment to the highest standards of quality and excellence. They are a true leader in quality having produced linen for over 150 years.
Our linen marine bedding can be laundered with confidence by following our full washing instructions. If you wish to pre-wash your linen before first use, do so at low temperature with a small quantity of a mild soap.
Washing Wash your linen as soon as possible after a spill Do not overload the machine Choose a machine setting with maximum water level Use mild soap. Avoid strong detergents, especially concentrated forms. Do not use detergents with optical whiteners and avoid all types of bleach. Recommended temperature is a warm wash, 40C or 104F as a maximum.
Drying Fill your tumbler with half the normal capacity in order to let the linen move freely during the drying process. Do not over-dry. Use a short cycle setting as linen dries quickly. Use a medium temperature setting and a slower tumble setting (if available).
